Transportation Options from LAX
Los Angeles is 15 miles northeast of LAX.
SHUTTLES
$15 / Usually 1 HR, but could be more, depends on traffic
The Biltmore does not have a shuttle from the airport. The LAX recommends two private shuttle services that go downtown; both cost about $15, but will take longer than a taxi or driving because they have multiple stops. Primetime Shuttle estimates it takes 1 hour.
Look for the Orange Shared Ride Vans sign to find a van headed downtown. No reservations necessary.

METRO RAIL (COMBO LIGHT RAIL & SUBWAY)
$3 Day Pass / 45min - 1hr
For those who like public transportation, there actually is a rail service in LA! It's $3 for a day pass, and it takes between 45 min-1 hour.
Here's how:
Take the free shuttle from the airport to Aviation Station (look for the Green G sign)
At aviation station, buy a $3 day pass
You'll be on the GREEN Line: Take Norwalk Train to Imperial/Wilmington Station
At Wilmington, go downstairs to the BLUE line, North toward Downtown LA. Get off at the last stop, 7th Street Metro
At 7th St Metro, take the RED line toward Union station just one stop to Pershing Square.
Exit the station on 5th and Hill, then walk 2 blocks up 5th to Grand.
The Biltmore is on the corner of 5th and Grand
IMPORTANT: The rail is on the honor system, so you can just get on the train with pass in hand. Be careful the date does not rub off your day pass! The transit staff will check the dates and fine you $250 if they can't discern that it’s a valid date.
